The Portland Pirates, a member of the American Hockey League are located in Portland, Maine. Our purpose is to deliver professional hockey in a first-class, affordable, memorable way, and strive to become the AHL's premiere member. As the affiliate for the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes, fans have the opportunity to experience high-end professional hockey in both an exciting and welcoming environment. The Pirates are proud of 20 years of success in developing players and coaches for the NHL as well as providing affordable family fun to over 4 million fans. The 2012-2013 season will mark the 20th Anniversary of Portland Pirates hockey, presented by the Bill Dodge Auto Group.
